Still Christmas Here

9:26 a.m. The Christmas tree still looms in the living room, fully decorated, a once-welcomed holiday guest who has overstayed its welcome, rather like Tab's cousin when she comes for her annual Christmas visit. I'd wanted to have it stripped, down, and out the door by now, but I never got a chance to take the ornaments off this weekend, hence Tab was not able to remove the lights. I have to finish Gauchet today, but I'm going to try to take the ornaments off anyway.

GYN appointment later this morning. I'm not looking forward to it (but then, I can't imagine a woman who would welcome one), but I'm long overdue since I haven't had a Pap smear since the twins were born over 3 years ago.

The cold has congested my nose. I must have breathed through my mouth most of the night since I woke up with my mouth dry and gritty.
