Watching: The first season of The Sopranos, which is running on HBO all this week. I was reluctant to start watching this series, in part because I dislike any sort of glorification of organized crime, but I soon found myself sucked in by the strong writing and stellar acting. So much for my principles.

Complaints from the Sick:

"My hair hurts!" (Tab)

"I'm going to cry all over!" (Matthew)

More of the Same

This entry will be short, rather like my temper after spending most of the day waiting on the sick males in this house.

Matthew and Stephen were both feverish last night when we checked on them at 11 p.m. We dosed them with more Advil, which lasted until 5 a.m., at which point they woke up miserable once again.

Daniel seemed a little better today, but he is still running a fever of 101 to 102. It didn't slow him down much, however, as he has regained his usual energy. Maybe tomorrow he will be well enough to go back to school.

The twins and Tab had improved enough by late afternoon that we decided to go to the twilight show of Toy Story 2. What a fabulous movie! It was as good, if not better, than the first one. All movies--not just kids' movies--should be this good.

Unfortunately, about mid-way through the show, Tab started feeling worse. He was shaking with chills by the time we left. By bedtime, all three boys were feverish.

This is one tenacious virus.
